Course Description:
The Diploma in Cosmetology is HBC’s flagship programme for anyone who wants a full career in the beauty industry — not just one skill. Over the duration of the programme, you train across the four pillars of professional beauty: hair, skin, nails, and makeup, with the business knowledge to turn that skill set into income.
This diploma is for the student who wants to work in a salon, open her own studio, freelance for weddings and events, or build a beauty brand from the ground up. You learn under qualified instructors, on real models, with the same tools and standards used in working salons.
What You Will Learn:
- Master the foundations of skin anatomy, hygiene, and salon safety to international standards.
- Perform professional facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, masking, and massage.
- Apply day, evening, and bridal makeup looks suited to a range of skin tones and face shapes.
- Execute core hair services: washing, blow-dry styling, relaxing, and treatment care.
- Install wigs, glueless, and bridal hairstyles to a paying-client standard.
- Deliver complete nail services including manicure, pedicure, gel polish, and nail art.
- Diagnose common skin and hair conditions and recommend the correct treatment or referral.
- Operate salon equipment safely — sterilisers, steamers, dryers, and basic electrotherapy tools.
- Manage the client experience from consultation to aftercare, building the loyalty that drives repeat income.
- Price, package, and promote your services so your skill becomes a sustainable business.
- Build a professional portfolio and personal brand ready for hiring or self-employment.
- Run the day-to-day of a beauty business: stock, hygiene protocols, scheduling, and client records.

You will graduate with a recognised HBC Diploma, a portfolio of completed work, and the confidence to charge for your skills from day one.
